Privacy policy

Dump handles personal health-journal data. We built the product around private-by-default logging and explicit sharing choices.

Information the app handles

How information is used

We use this information to authenticate you, store and sync your journal, deliver the sharing features you select, send enabled notifications, operate moderation controls, diagnose failures, and improve the product. Journal entries are private unless you explicitly share them with a room.

Service providers

The app uses Supabase for authentication and backend storage; Firebase and Google infrastructure for push delivery and sign-in; Sentry for crash and reliability diagnostics; and PostHog for configured product analytics. When PostHog is enabled, a completed-report event includes the log ID, categorical density, urgency, mess, and pain selections, calculated score, outcome, and sync result under an account-scoped analytics identity. It does not include the journal's free-text note. Push notification titles may contain a room name or member display name, but the app does not send journal-entry content through FCM.

How long information is kept

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, and for as long as we are required to keep it by applicable law. When data is no longer needed for those purposes, it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Retained moderation and security evidence is reviewed periodically and removed once it no longer serves the purpose it was kept for.

Account deletion and retained evidence

You can request deletion from Settings → Delete account. Account-owned private data is deleted, active shared rooms are transferred to another member when possible, and rooms without a successor are retired. Limited moderation, security, and operational evidence may be retained to protect users and investigate abuse. In that retained evidence, the closed account ID is replaced with an unlinkable surrogate, and detail written by a closing reporter is removed.
